Bell2 Resort to Smithers, BC

Sort of a short day today.  I left Bell2 Resort around 7:15 this morning headed south on Hwy 37 to Kitwanga, BC where I picked up Hwy 16 headed east toward Prince George, BC.  The terrain was pretty similar to what I've been seeing all along the Cassiar Hiway, with rolling hills and the Rocky Mountains off in the distance.  Pretty heavily forested and the right-of-way for the hiway wasn't much wider than the road itself.  You can see from the shot below which was taken about 100 miles south of Bell2 how close the vegetation is to the highway.  You can also see the Rockies in the background:

It started raining a little after this picture was taken, and I headed on into Smithers to get the bike looked at by the local Harley dealer.  That took a while and because of the rain I decided to stay in Smithers rather than pushing on to Burns Lake as planned.  Tomorrow, it'll be Smithers to Williams Lake, just shy of 400 miles.  Miles today:  203. Total:  7,375.
