Left Invermere very early and headed north on Hwy 93 and into Banff National Park. Holy cow, it was all I could do to keep the bike on the road as my head was swivelling around like the girl in The Exorcist. Within 10 miles of entering the park, I saw deer, a wolf (who starting chasing me on the bike...guess I looked like a big moose) and a herd of goats alongside the road. I got within about 10 feet of one of the goats:

I can't tell you where the picture above was taken, because there must have been 100 places along the road where the view was similar to this. Absolutely beautiful and not quite as "packed together" as the mountains in Glacier National Park.
I continued along to Lake Louise, AB, which is pretty cool, if a little touristy. Immediately north of Lake Louise, we entered Jasper National Park, which extends about 150 miles north to the town of Jasper, AB. Check this out:

Maybe you can at least get the idea, but these two parks are really stupendous.
I left Jasper, AB around 4:00 and rode about 45 miles up to Hinton, AB for the night. Tomorrow, it's on to Dawson Creek, BC along The "Bighorn Highway." Dawson Creek is the official start of the Alaska Highway, and I'll be leaving for Fairbanks on Monday morning. Miles today: 292. Total: 3,101.
